Subsidy Benefits for Cattle Feed Business

Capital Subsidy: Get 50% subsidy on the total project cost (up to Rs. 50 lakh) for setting up a fodder processing unit (hay/silage, TMR, or fodder block manufacturing).
Interest Subsidy: Avail 3% interest subsidy for 8 years under the AHIDF scheme.
Loan Support: The remaining cost can be financed through bank loans or NCDC finance.

Dairy Farmers & Dairy Cooperatives
Self-Help Groups (SHG), Joint Liability Groups (JLG), FPOs, Section 8 Companies

What Expenses Are Covered?

✅ Machinery for Cattle Feed & Fodder Processing: Baler, Block Making Machines, TMR Machines, Forage Harvester, Heavy-duty Chaff Cutters
✅ Storage Infrastructure for Fodder
✅ Land Development, Building Construction (for processing units)

🚫 What is NOT Covered? ❌ Working capital, personal vehicles, land purchase, leasing expenses, and office accommodation are not eligible for subsidy.

How is the Subsidy Provided?

50% subsidy is given in two instalments:
- First Instalment: Transferred to your bank once you receive the loan and made expenditure up to 25% of total project cost.
- Second Instalment: Released after project completion verification.
For self-finance the project, you need a Bank Guarantee for the amount of subsidy that should be valid for 3 Years.
