The Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) has announced a golden opportunity for entrepreneurs and manufacturers in the Biomass Energy Sector. A tender has been invited for the supply of 3.5 Lakh Metric Tons of Non-Torrefied Biomass Pellets for the thermal power plant located at Kasimpur, Aligarh, UP.
This is a part of India’s growing focus on renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions in power generation.

Eligibility: Manufacturers of biomass pellets with plant capacity of at least 20 MT/day
EMD & Pricing Details:
EMD (Earnest Money Deposit): ₹8 Lakh for 20 MT/day capacity
(EMD increases proportionally for higher capacities)Tender Fees: ₹1,180
Base Price: ₹3,400 per Metric Ton (exclusive of GST and transportation)
You may quote zero transportation, but base price cannot be underquoted.
Price must be submitted in financial bid – includes base price + GST + transport (if applicable)
Other Important Points:
Tender is NOT available on GeM Portal.
It is listed on UP Government’s eProcurement website.Digital Signature (Class III) is required for online submission.
Technical + Financial bids need to be submitted.
No EMD exemption is available – EMD is mandatory.
Preference will be given to units located in the NCR region.
